Happy 2011 from OrgSync!
January 11, 2011We hope your New Year is off to a positive start. Our team has been busy expanding our new office, hiring new team members and developing new features to better serve our customers. In light of all these fast developments, we want to take a moment and reflect on what we have accomplished over the past year and to share with you our goals for the upcoming semester.
Looking Back
Last year was a major turning point for OrgSync. We moved from operating out of two houses in North Austin to an office building in Dallas, TX, doubled the size of our team, and grew from approximately 100 campus partners to more than 150. Not only were we expanding our operations, but our development team was hard at work introducing new product releases. Here is a quick overview of the new features we rolled out in 2010.
Moving Forward
As we now look forward, we are excited about what 2011 has in store for us. We have an ambitious year ahead and are planning to develop and release a number of features. Our development has and will continue to be guided by the feedback we receive after listening to the needs of our campus partners.
Some of our development initiatives include the following:
ePortfolios
We are planning to release our new ePortfolio add-on feature on January 15. This feature which will provide every student with an interactive online portfolio to showcase both their campus and career experiences in one student controlled public website. Students may showcase their academic achievements, employment history, involvement experience, work samples and professional recommendations. Screenshots
Co-Curricular Involvement Records
Our next version of co-curricular transcripts will make it easier for students and administrators to manage involvement, automatically add activities and allow multiple options for PDF exports. Screenshots
OrgSync Mobile
We will soon roll out a mobile version of our website that will be compatible with any web browser. When someone tries to access OrgSync from a mobile browser our site will automatically redirect the user to our mobile version. Screenshots
Card Swiping
Soon OrgSync will be compatible with current student ID card swiping technology for campus events and programs. This feature will integrate seamlessly with our events module in order for users to efficiently and accurately track attendance and assign timesheet hours faster than before.

Service Learning Platform
We are collaborating with our campus partners to design and build an add-on platform that will serve the needs of Service Learning. This module will improve access to service opportunities and make it easier for students to sign up and track service hours.
Updated My Home
We are planning to implement a new My Home user page to provide a much cleaner and efficient experience for our users. Our goal is to aggregate only relevant data the user needs from his/her current involvements.
